tak lapar kat australia

I'm in the gair, with it's tiled floor, that usually functions as my mum's bedroom, and I just managed to break a tile by pulling a chair leg from between it and another.
Well, I just decided it's time to add something to the blog so I'm writing here first before I post this; maybe tomorrow.
I'm back home in Australia and it seems very much similar to the way I left it.  Actually, I was very nervous the from the day before I flew to the day after, and felt a bit sick in the gut parting from the airport where I'd landed with all those people I've learnt to associate with... Well I'm glad I'll be going back anyway.  After walking from the plane to the terminal, the first encounter is like an obstacle course with all of the duty-free alcohol displays.  I've been keen to describe the bottleneck of bottles as a bit of a smack in the face, especially when arriving from Malaysia, and especially when trying to fill in a form for customs without knocking anything over (and paying for it) with ones luggage while attempting to retain ones dignity.  OK, the dignity is impossible as I'm always restless and overexcited after a flight, but it's fair enough to question the experience as a first impression for visitors.
As the heading implies, I've not been very hungry here yet.  I suppose it might partly be that I have to cook everything I eat, but bread isn't very appealing these days.  I'll try to cook something from ho- Malaysia soon.
So far, back here in Oz, I've met mum; my (intimidating) brother; Jango-The-Dawg; my BFGuy-who-picked-me-up-from-the-airport; a couple of other quality friends (mostly by chance); a snake; Bella-Rose; Tammy (Tamster); an electric violin; a cockatoo that woke me up this morning; (the mercedes) ben'z blue truck-car and my tragically busted motorbike. Tomorrow I want to by chance bump into a few more friends, and maybe I'll look out for some work.
My second mum drove me to KLIAirport on Sunday and didn't leave the window until I'd been right through the immigration bit, bless him.  On the plane I talked with a Malaysian/Australian-Orang Seremban/Brisbanite for the best of 7 hours before we landed with all the lights switched off.  She noticed my diary that I hadn't written in during the flight and asked if it was my diary and if I'd be writing everything we'd talked about in it.  She didn't ask if I'd be writing to the (soon-to-be-limited) unlimited public of the internet that we'd discussed all those things at large such as women with authority, fashion, political corruption, influencing ones world practically, family, community, society, right and wrong, being small, being large, strange sensitivities, Seremban, Port Dickson, Brisbane, Byron Bay (wait 'til you hear what I have to say about that town) etc.  She ate her internet-ordered nasi lemak while I ate one of mine which I'd bought at my friend's family's restaurant in Lukut; I had to eat the second one in a hurry before landing, but I finished before the lights went off!  She introduced me to her guitar-and-bass playing boyfriend outside, too.
I've been trying to play the violin a bit.  It's difficult and sounds mostly horrible, but lots of fun anyway.  Had plenty more deep conversations with BFG and other friends.  They tend to be less political and more spiritual, which is pleasing in a way, but I don't like to complicate spirituality.  Imagine if I tried to record all that we discussed here... I almost feel some of the examples I use are a bit personal.
I'm glad I went to kampung yang kat kuala pilah for friday night to accompany my friend who was returning from Lukut.  Did the best things like talking with the father about travels, wrestling with the wee nephews, amusing the sisters by wearing baju malayu, coming for a squiz on the brothers bike, eating the mother's food, listening to the neighbours singing, attending a strangers' wedding and then swimming with the whole village youth in a river near waterfalls.  Totally awesome way to wind down before coming back, but then I think it became more difficult to go home!  They gave me nice wicker-ware to give to my mum in very appropriate design and colour (fluorescent pink and orange!) as they have a business hand-making and selling it.
On Thursday I went and saw my mother's spiritual guide speak in Shah Alam near KL for his public program with my friend.  It was very nice to witness in person for the first time and great to see the young old men from this way again after many months but I found the my companion being the only Muslim amongst many other varying races and religions a bit disappointing and yet pleasant in a progressive sense.  I do wish to share such my observation free of any judgment.
I don't think I've written anything of teaching at the language centre in Seremban, so maybe I will next time (!)  Ofcourse plenty more to recount but I'm bloomin' tired.
G'night
